Student Employment Opportunities

Student Academic Appointments (SAA) are a primary source of funding for many graduate students. Some SAAs include full or partial fee remissions and health insurance. Remember that you can also apply for assistantships in other departments/offices on campus. Area studies programs, libraries and archives, and centers are other places to inquire about SAAs.

Graduate Assistant for Peer Education in the Office of Financial Wellness & Education

Beginning Fall 2025 the position will have a .50% FTE (i.e. 20 hours per week for academic year and be eligible for student health insurance. A fee remission is available as part of the package. Priority for this position will be given to those early in their academic program as the ideal candidate will be able to work with office for more than one semester. Previous knowledge and experience with personal finance and money management education is preferred, but not required.

The Office of Engaged Learning invites applicants for a graduate assistant. This is a 3-month appointment (~20 hours per week), beginning on or after May 12, 2025. The hourly pay is $20. The intent is for the Summer Graduate Assistant to carry over into the 25-26 school year at a rate of $20/hr for 20 hours a week.
