Boren Fellowships fund research and language study proposals by U.S. graduate students in world regions critical to U.S. interests. They enable students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. The Boren Fellowship supports students studying languages, cultures, and world regions other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The maximum awards are determined by how long you intend to be abroad and can go up to $24,000 for 37-52 weeks abroad. Contact the Boren IU Bloominton campus representative, Melissa O'Neill firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
