Position Title: Graduate Assistant for Digital Content & Project Management
Position Summary:
The Higher Education Financial Wellness Alliance (HEFWA), part of the Financial Wellness & Education Initiative in the Office of the Vice President for Student Success, is seeking a detail-oriented graduate student to assist with a variety of website development, project management, and administrative tasks. The role involves supporting key HEFWA initiatives, including website management, platform integration projects, and member administration. The position offers valuable hands-on experience in digital content management, project administration, and communication within the higher education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Website Development and Documentation
· Assist in building and updating HEFWA website pages.
· Receive content from HEFWA volunteers and committees to integrate into website updates.
· Refine and expand existing training materials to develop a HEFWA-specific website administrator guide.
2. Support for Updates to CashCourse Financial Education Platform
· Complete various administrative tasks related to the update of CashCourse
· Draft documents and communications for CashCourse users and administrators.
· Assist in communicating project updates to the HEFWA community.
· Provide feedback and insights from a student perspective for content development and review.
3. Membership Administration
· Conduct a review of member statuses and present findings to HEFWA leadership.
· Implement agreed-upon changes to the HEFWA Membership platform.
· Assist with membership renewal efforts, including following up with members with expired statuses.
· Explore and assess additional opportunities to utilize HEFWA Membership platform’s features, such as group forums and communication lists.
4. HEFWA Administrative Communications
· Assist in managing incoming emails, including responding to or escalating them as necessary.
· Help ensure smooth and effective communication with HEFWA members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Current graduate student at Indiana University.
2. Strong technical skills, including experience with web development.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
5. Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
6. Familiarity with project management or administrative roles is a plus.
Hours:
This is a part-time hourly position with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments. The hourly rate is $18, and the expected workload is approximately 12-15 hours per week.
