The GradGrants Center (GGC) supports Indiana University graduate students as they find and secure sponsored grants, fellowships, and awards from external sources that are essential to their academic, research, and professional pursuits. Through extensive access to external funding opportunities for all disciplines, the GGC constitutes an invaluable resource and educational tool to both IU’s graduate student community and the University as a whole.
GGC Primary Objectives:
Guide students through online funding databases step-by-step, helping them learn to tailor multiple searches to their academic pursuits using grant databases;
Consult with students on funding proposals from inception to submission, including brainstorming, proposal planning, drafting, honing proposals to specific audiences, and organizing financial data;
Develop and distribute resources related to effective funding searches, grant-writing, other IU resources for graduate students, and on-campus assistantship opportunities; and;
Host and record a series of workshops on funding searches, the grant-writing process, and improvement of grant-writing skills.
