Position Description: Seeking two graduate assistants for UGS Diversity Initiatives. The Diversity and Inclusion team in the University Graduate School focuses on the recruitment and retention of underrepresented graduate students and works collaboratively with current faculty, staff and students to further their work. A good candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and desire to provide support and assistance to people of diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and educational backgrounds.
Assistants will develop, coordinate, and implement programming for underrepresented graduate students; represent UGS at events, workshops, and program (e.g. serve on panels, give tours or meet one-to-one with prospective graduate students); assists in qualitative research project and development and distribution of educational materials (reports, presentations, etc.) related to UGS diversity efforts.
Requirements: Applicants must be full-time graduate students in a graduate program at IUB and, be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to graduate students who are involved in diversity-building activities and programming.

Compensation: The position will have a .50% FTE (i.e., 20 hours per week) for the 2021-22 academic year with a stipend of $18,000 and is eligible for student health insurance and 30-hour fee remission.
