Position description:

The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is currently hiring a Curatorial Graduate Assistant for the upcoming academic year. The GA will work with the IUMAA Chief Curator and other curatorial and exhibits team members to assist in a variety of tasks as the museum prepares new exhibitions for the institution’s opening in 2022. The work may include exhibit development, artifact research, artifact selection, and label writing. Additionally, cataloging and collections management tasks may be required.

Eligibility:

Indiana University graduate students must be enrolled full time for the 2021-22 academic year All graduate students with applicable skills are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:

Compensation is an $18,000 stipend disbursed in 10 monthly payments, and health insurance coverage from August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2022. The position requires a

20-hour per week employment commitment during the fall and spring semesters.
