Indiana University Bloomington Evaluation Services and Testing (BEST), a division of the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, is seeking to hire proctors for our testing team. Proctors assist with the overall administration of national standardized exams like the SAT, ACT, and Law School Admission Test along with some academic, classroom-based exams. Under the direction of an experienced associate room supervisor, they assist with admitting and seating examinees; distributing, collecting, and counting test materials; monitoring examinees during testing; maintaining test security; and other duties related to the test administration. The proctor position is a temporary position paid at the rate of $10.85 per hour. It is not eligible for university benefits. Opportunities for work are primarily on Saturdays and are occasional in nature.
Qualifications:
Graduate student, non-exempt IU staff member working fewer than 29 hours per week, or non-student with some experience in testing and classroom management preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow directions and implement policies and procedures precisely. Can-do attitude. Flexibility. Authorization to work in the United Stated. Background check required.
