Project Description: The Center for the Study of the Middle East (CSME) and the Center for the Study of Global Change (CGC) are hiring a program manager to assist with implementing a grant from Interfaith America (IA) for the project “Intercultural/Interfaith Conversations: Broadening Horizons at IU.”  IA provides grant funding to projects that encourage dialogue and understanding between different religious traditions.  The CSME and CGC Interfaith America grant proposes a series of events on the IU Bloomington campus in which representatives of different faiths will answer questions and engage in conversation with students and other members of the university community.  In the spring of 2023, an Intercultural Competency workshop will be held with an invited expert to facilitate participants’ ability to engage in and promote interfaith understanding. 

Position Responsibilities: The Interfaith America Program Assistant will help the project leaders in the implementation of the project.  They will identify and reserve locations/venues for on-campus discussions and for the workshop; recruit graduate students and others from various faith traditions; organize and oversee grant events; provide website maintenance; engage on social media; assist with evaluation and grant-reporting duties.
