The Institute for European Studies (EURO) at IU promotes knowledge of Europe and the European Union through education, scholarship, and public outreach. Our academic degree programs train specialists committed to strengthening transatlantic ties through careers in public service, business, research, and teaching. It is our duty to increase knowledge and awareness of Europe and the European Union in the local community and beyond. We have a variety of resources, programming, and funding opportunities for K-12 educators looking to bring Europe into the classroom, and our relationship with local businesses and IU’s Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) has created a better understanding of the European business environment.
Job Summary:
The Editorial Assistant is responsible for technicla support for programming and project coordination for the websites, graphic design projects, newsletters and social media platforms for both the Institute of European Studies and the Polish Studies Center. The position requires 20 hours of work for 40 weeks between August 2019 and May 202, with the possibility of annual renewal through 2022. This is a G901 position with a total stipend of $16,000 but without a tuition remission.
Required Qualifications
Academic interest in and/ or knowledge of European Area Studies.
Excellent writing and editing skills.
Ability to use social media tools and maintain EURO’s growing listservs.
Working knowledge of Suite C4 and/or C55.
Advertised Salary Range
.50 FTE 20 hours per week G901 senior graduate student with no tuition remission/$16,000 stipend.
