A.PRIMARY ROLE:
The position will provide support for various projects within theCenter for Collaborative Systems Change at Indiana University’s Indiana Institute on Disability and Community. Hourly staff will participate in a variety of tasks including participation in team-based planning of research and evaluation activities, data entry and basic analyses, literature searches, presentation and report development support, and basic office clerical work.


B.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position requires a self-directed, but collaborative worker that is detail-oriented and comfortable navigating multiple tasks with multiple deadlines. The candidate should have strong written and spoken communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to work with others as a member of a research team are all essential. Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive data at all times and be able to professionally interact with all research team members. 
Assist with preparing and assembling materials for research, evaluation, and technical assistance activities, state and national conferences, evaluation reports, as well as other related products including completing design layout and production of marketing materials, training materials, flyers, brochures, booklets, surveys, visual aids, and handouts for distribution. Follow protocols for searching electronics records to locate, code, and enter data into a secure data platform. Conduct interviews with adult with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities via zoom if qualified and interested. Coordinate and maintain contact lists for communication with stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.


C.QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education:High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education:1-2 Year of undergraduate/graduate coursework in special education, education, social work, psychology, public healthor other human services field

Required Experience: Experience with basic data entry, excel and/or other related clerical support

Preferred Experience:Lived and/or work experience with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Ability to organize and manage projects. Ability to make decisions, problem-solve and initiate tasks. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Strong leadership skills with ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and display professional etiquette. Demonstrated ability in the use of many software packages such as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and graphics software. Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Strong interpersonal skills required to work effectively with various internal and external constituents.


Preferred Knowledge: Descriptive data analyses, and experience conducting structured interviews

Required equipment utilized:Computer, copy machines, printers, scanners, webcams, video-conferencing software

Preferred equipment utilized:online-data base platforms, excel
