The University Graduate School (UGS) Office of Diversity and Inclusion is seeking two graduate assistants for UGS Diversity Initiatives. Assistants will develop, coordinate, and implement programming for underrepresented graduate students; represent UGS at events, workshops, and program; assist in qualitative research projects and development and distribution of educational materials related to UGS diversity efforts. The position will have a .50% FTE (i.e., 20 hours per week) for the 2021-22 academic year with a stipend of $18,000 and is eligible for student health insurance and 30-hour fee remission.
Student Academic Appointments (SAA) are a primary source of funding for many graduate students. Some SAAs include full or partial fee remissions and health insurance. Remember that you can also apply for assistantships in other departments/offices on campus. Area studies programs, libraries and archives, and centers are other places to inquire about SAAs.
