Provenance Research Assistants 2023-2024 The Eskenazi Museum of Art is currently seeking graduate students at IU to contribute to provenance research projects during the 2023-24 academic year. These part-time positions will focus on two curatorial departments at the Eskenazi Museum: 1) Arts of Africa, Oceania, and Indigenous Art of the Americas, and 2)European and American Art. The students will learn valuable skills in provenance research important to curatorial practice that seeks to also support professional development during their IU graduate program. Graduate students with arts and humanities research background, including archival research and museum work, are especially encouraged to apply. The research assistants will be working 5- 15 hours per week at $20/hour. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.

THE PROPOSAL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT is one of four graduate assistants who work directly with fellow graduate students in the GradGrants Center, a graduate student service located in the Wells Library-BL. Our consultants assist students in their search for external funding sources and are available to work one-on-one with graduate students in discussing and critiquing their grant proposals. The position, starting in October 2023, will be hourly at a rate of $15/hour for the remainder of the Fall 2023 semester with an hourly maximum of 10 hours/week. Starting in Spring, 2024, the position will be .50% FTE (i.e., 20 hours per week) and is eligible for student health insurance. The salary will be approximately $22,000 for the academic year (or $11,000 per semester) with a tuition remission. Application review will begin on Friday, October 13, 2023.
